So we’re moving in a few weeks and I was thinking about our “cursed internet provider who shall not be named” (CIPWSNBN). I’m completely sick of them and was thinking of changing over to AT&T DSL. So here is my question to you loyal readers (hello? anyone?)
Question: While I know DSL is slower than broadband cable modem, for someone who doesn’t download that much music, movies, or software, is it worth moving to DSL? The cost savings alone will be substantial, but as far as speed goes, how noticeable is it?
Sub-question: Are there any other options to the CIPWSNBN besides DSL? I’ve heard sattelite internet is good, but I’m not sure if its worth the money you pay.

First of all, anything faster than dialup is described as “broadband” (fiber, DSL and cable being the most common variants).
Second of all, dude, I LOVE that guy!
Lastly, I think my mom has DSL from the phone company. It’s plenty fast enough.

Jeremy – My bap. And dude.. that guy ROCKS! Surse.. Tote surse.
