Dackie = Dan + Jackie

So a couple of weeks ago, Jackie and I watched the movie Once. A really good movie that defies the definition of a musical, while still being a musical, because, well, it’s a movie with music.

Anyways, the movie is good and I really enjoyed watching the tension build between the two main characters. The recording scenes were a bit cheesy and I really didn’t like the producer character, but still, a good flick worth watching. As it turns out, the co-stars are both real-life musicians, which, no surprise here, benefits the actual music portion of the movie. Glen Hansard, who plays the role of “Guy” (as in “some guy”) is from from the band, The Frames, which are a bit Coldplay-esque. Markéta Irglová plays “Girl” and apparently she is a classically-trained pianist from the Czech Republic.

Well anywho, the reason I’m writing this post is because I’ve had the song “Mind’s Made Up” on my brain for the last week and I can’t get it out.
