It looks like we may have brought the same weather we had in Hawaii back to the states. For those of you in the mix of it, this is exactly what Jackie and I had to deal with on our honeymoon, only it was 80 degrees outside instead of 45 or 50.
There are quite a few similarities with the storm that hit Maui in December with the storm that we’re dealing with today. Let’s take a deeper look.
- No power at home? check
- No power for half the town including restaurants and supermarkets? check
- Constant wind that makes even the simplest outside task difficult? check
- Sheets of rain coming off the roof? check
- Half the town freaking out and buying the entire city supply of batteries and candles? check
- No end in sight? double check.
- Blizzard Conditions at certain mountain summits? check (who knew Hawaii got snow? Not us.)
So as you can see, Jackie and I feel just like we’re on our honeymoon again. The love is in the air, with the constant kanoodling, and the hanky-panky, and the hoo-hah with the whatnot.. oh wait..just kidding. I’m stuck in my cubicle working for the man and Jackie is climbing the walls right about now with cabin fever and we’re both wishing we were somewhere else.. wait a sec, this IS just like our honeymoon.. yay!
