Home Sweet Home

Alright so in case you haven’t heard, we still don’t have a place to live. That house on Kern St that we were all stoked about fell through because the stupid home-owner decided at the very last minute that she didn’t want to rent the house anymore and wants to put the house up for sale. And here we were worried that the lady at the property management company was going to eff us in the A. She must have been having a horrible week when we first talked to her because Jackie said she was so completely nice and accommodating once the house fell through. Once that happened we had to start our house search all over again (BOO!).

Well we got lucky (knock on wood) and found another house, even cooler than the first. This one is over on East Sacramento Ave near Chico Junior High. Its a bit smaller than the Kern house but the neighborhood is amazing, it has a humongous kitchen and an even bigger dining room. The guy apparently just bought the house (as in 2-3 weeks ago) and is really nice. He said he’s going to think about things over the weekend and call us on Monday to let us know if we got the house, so we’re crossing our fingers that everything goes our way. Jackie apparently was the first person to contact him about renting the house once she saw the ad on Craigslist. I have to give it to Jackie. She has truly been working her ass off trying to find a place for us to live. We’ve both been stressed, as you can imagine, about all the different things going in our lives. What with me losing my job at Tower, scrambling to find another job, getting a new job, trying to find a place to move, Julie’s bridal shower, Julie’s bachelorette party, Julie’s wedding, our own wedding, and the list goes on..Seriously, I can’t wait until Jan 1st, 2008. Maybe then we will finally be able to completely relax.

So as Daniel said, we are waiting until Monday to hear from him about the house. It’s between us and one other person… please cross your fingers and say a few good words to the omniscient presence of your choice in our favor…God, Buddha, Allah, whatever floats your boat.
