I have 3 items to discuss today, so bear with me.
1) After being laid off from Tower.com about a month ago, I have spent the past few weeks searching for a job. My efforts have proven to be very fruitful and I received two job offers within days of each other. I have decided to take the job that is more fulfilling and exciting to me. The company is Improvement Direct and they are located in Chico. The position is exactly what I’ve been looking for and they backed up that feeling by offering me more money than I had ever expected (I’m not making millions, yet). So yeah, Jackie and I are moving back to Chico. Jackie is just as excited as I am to be coming back to Chico, but also just as sad to leave our wonderful friends in Sacramento. We never realized how much we would fall in love with Sacramento but we did and now we have to leave it. The good news is Sacramento is only 90minutes away and Chico is awesome. So all you Sacramento peeps have no excuse to come visit.
2) Awesome, you made it over to Dackie.org. I know it looks a little cheesy or “girly” but we put it up for our wedding, so after the wedding is over, I’ll put up the naked girls and hot-rods. For now, we’re going to post wedding-related items and ask you some of you who have already walked down the aisle some questions on things to avoid, things to ask vendors, and all that jazz. So check back often, as I still have 3+ weeks until I start my new job and will have plenty of time to post some odds and ends.
3) All you Chico peeps, can you keep an eye out for houses for rent for Jackie and I? We’re looking for 3 things, 1) A House, 2) Central Heating & Air, 3) 2 or more bedrooms, and preferably a fenced in back yard for Madison.
Update: The position is Director of Email Marketing for Improvement Direct. And no, I’m not the guy who keeps spamming you.. I think its this guy.
